Fresh corn

I picked my first corn today. I cut about half of it off the cob to put in the freezer. I just cut it and put it in the bag without blanching it. I don't think it will kill us, but I may cook a test batch for George before I try it. I got about 4 pints from about a 5 gallon bucket full of corn.

The local paper is running a feature series of grandkids photos. I think I will see if they will publish this one.

to cut corn off the cobb use a bunt pan, put the cob in the center hole of the pan to hold the cobb and as you cut the corn falls into the pan...from the sister that knows the most about cooking....
