September 27, Thursday

Well, my work week is over.  I am taking a vacation day tomorrow.  I went to Harrison today and bought a Cooks ham to cook tomorrow.  Clayton says Cooks hams are the best.  We will see.  I just bought that brand because it was the one on sale, but hopefully it will be good.

I also got stuff to make pumpkin pies.  I usually just but frozen pies, but the pumpkin pie was over $7.  Homemade pies are much better anyway.  But, I don't make the crust. I but frozen crusts.

I usually buy groceries at Wally world, but Edwards had the hams on sale so I just got all my groceries there.  Their caned goods were cheaper than Wally world.  I may start going there more.

Tomorrow, sleep in. Maybe even as late as 6 am.  Yipee!

Wednesday, 4 am

And the computer is fine.  I think George was right, the battery was down and windows just got confused.

Today, evis is off at the plant.  When evis is down on Friday, I have been off also, but today, I am working.  I am not going to work very many weeks taking a day off in the middle of the week.

Friday, I am taking a vacation day, just because I want to.

George started taking apart the wall by the back door yesterday.  Maybe, in a week or so we will have a new back door up.

I still get up at 4 most days, even though I don't leave for work until 5:30.  I do like going in later.  I guess someday, I will start sleeping later in the morning.  I have been getting up at 4 o'clock for over 5 years.  It is hard to change.

Tuesday, September 25

Today was a 3 egg day, but one was really, really small.  That is a nickle behind the third egg and the nickle is bigger than the egg.  Maybe it is a diet egg.

Today, when I tried to start my computer,it failed to start.  I tried just restarting it with no luck.  It wanted to try to repair itself and I went with that after the second no start.  It ran for about 20 or 30 minutes and still could not start. I clicked finish and it shut down.  Then I tried starting it again and it started.  So far so good.  I did not have it plugged in and George thought maybe the battery had just run down.  Maybe so.  Anyway, the fix messed up Norton, so now Norton is downloading a update.  Oh, and I had not backed up anything on this computer on my backup drive.  I backed up all my pictures on the backup since I got it started again.  I looked, but did not see anything else that I thought needed backing up.

Now, if it will just restart when I shut it down.  AND, I called Patsy for help but she said she was not going to help.  She has not even called back to see if I got it running.  I don't think she is much worried about my problems.

Monday, September 24

We drove down on the Buffalo yesterday, but did not see anything, but tonight I walked out past Old Man Powell's and saw at least 7 deer or maybe 8.  Several Mamas and some babies on the flat between the little pond and the walnut tree.
