One game won

The girls won their first game last night. It was a runaway. So much so that I felt sorry for the other team. That is Hannah with the pony tail in the backfield.
The junior boys game was the same story. But, Lead Hill Senior girls had only 5 players l, no bench. Still, they beat us with more than a 10 point margin. Plus, one of the 5 fouled out. They played most of the last quarter with only 4 players. I had to cheer for them.
Next game is Monday against Berryville.

I have been writing a novel

in my head about my neighbor. The widow and her daughter had lived together most of the time since the father died.  Then about a year or so ago the mother moved to town to live with the other daughter, leaving the daughter living by herself on the homeplace.  A few months ago, a someone driving a pickup truck started living there.  I would see the pickup and the daughter's car there most days.  Then, suddenly, a couple of month ago, daughter's car was gone, never to return, and what looked to me to be a different pickup was there most nights.  Once in a while mother's car or other daughter's car would be there, sometimes for a few days, and sometimes just a day.  My novel in my head said that daughter had moved her boyfriend into the home with her, mother ran them both off, and now someone else was living in mother's house.  I could not decide who the pickup truck guy could be.  Then, a few days ago, I passed pickup truck on the road.  The driver was daughter # 1.  She likely bought a pickup, and instead of trading in her car, sold it outright after a few weeks.  This is not nearly as good a story as I was writing in my head.

Feeding the hungry

Here is spike.

And again.

The guys put the string back on the pully and refilled the feeder.

A nice buck.

Maybe the same as above.

This one came along just 30 minutes after I put the card back in the camera.

Cause here I am walking away.

Today was another beautiful day even if I did have to go back to work.  I enjoyed our trip to see Irene and my visit with my old friend Bailie at the Yellowstone viewing.  Mostly Bailie and I talked.  We were not supposed to talk while the show was on so we whispered behind their backs. And had a great time.

Frosty Morning

But a gorgons 72 degrees now.  I walked a little over 2 miles at 6:30 this morning.  The time change is welcomed by people like me who get up at 4:30. By the end of December, sunrise will come 3 hours after my get up time.

Tonight I go to Kathy's for a Yellowstone watch party.  I am actually going to see some old friends.  I have never watched this or much of anything else that is popular now.  Kathy has given strict orders that I cannot talk during the show. Maybe Hannah and Robert clued her in about my background commentary of some of their shows. It is not over until 9, so I may leave at half time.

And, tomorrow we go with Sister Betty to see Irene. That is going to be fun.
