Game cam failures

Since the weeds and grass in the pasture have died down, I have put the game cam back by the salt block in the pasture.  So far, it has been a complete failure.  First the camera took 2000 images of tree leaves because it was pointed to high.

Then I did this, which was not quite as bad, but it still was too high and it fell over.

Las night I rigged up a new setup. We will see if we get anything other than sky and grass with this.

Sisters are the best

This little boy turned 16 today.  We have a birthday dinner planned for tonight.  I planned on  making a cake last night, but it did not happen.  I call Sister Neighbor. She was traveling, but she will be home in a bit.  She is going to my house to collect the cake mix and frosting and he will have a birthday cake when he gets home. Some people you can always count on, like Sister.

Recycled

This painting from Erin's garage non-sale. I liked it and thought Hannah would also. I was right.  She loved it.  The price was right. 00000$.

Game Caming again

When brother's game cams got stolen, I bought a new cam and put it in the field beside our lane and moved the salt block down here.  It worked well until early May when the grass got so high all I got was pics of the grass waving in the wind.

I moved it up by the house but had not taken much interest in it since.  Every once in a while, I would check on it and set it upright, because it kept falling over.  Today, when I checked it, I found the image card had popped out of the slot.  I stuck it back in and waved at the sensor to activate a shot, but did not notice that the camera was upside down.  When I took the images off the card today, I had images of grass in early May and 3 or 4 images of me activating the camera on July 5.  The next image is the one above, which I have turned around.  It still looks really odd.

I am going to Walmart later to pick up my drugs.  I will get new batteries for the camera and change them out today or tomorrow depending on how energetic I am and if I can remember.  When I took it down to the salt block, I meant to take a pic of it with my phone but completely forgot.  If I had, it might have been down side up also, as sometimes they are.

Here is the last good images I got of deer on April 26 in the early morning fog. After that a few birds and a bunch of someone's 2 dogs.
