Birds again

My favorite bird feeder. I knocked it off and broke it a few days ago. I got some sealer, and after a few tries, got it to hold liquid again. Isn't it beautiful?

And, today is going to be another beautiful day.

Splish, Splash

In my DIY birdbath.

The pair of sparrows that use the birdhouse right by here really like this.

When it gets really hot in July and August, the birds will all flock to my birdbaths.

Vacation Week..

I have been on vacation all week.  We did not go anywhere, Just stayed home and did yard work.  Since  I can have flowers, I am enjoying the yard.  And, the new mover makes short work of the grass.

Here are some of the improvements.

Tomato garden, aka the jungle.

Pretty flowers and my chair.

There was a wasp nest inside the corner here.  I got spay foam and filled on all their entrances.  It was revenge.  Monday morning, right at the start of my vacation, I was working here and one stung me on the finger.  It really hurt.  I first took 2 benadryl.  After an hour or so, I took 2 more and 2 Aleve. I had to go to town for something, but when I got back, I went to bed and slept all afternoon.  It stayed swollen for 3 days. It was war!

This is the flower patch in the middle of the yard.  Helen's sunflower on the right and an orange peace rose, also from Helen on the left.  In the middle is my home made bird bath.  It is simple, but they like it.

Here is the bird bath I bought yesterday at Lowe's.  I love it and so will the birds when the find it.  I liked it so much, I went to Harrison today and bought flowers to plant all around it.

It rained this afternoon.  I had already watered everything, so they got a double dose. Tomorrow, back to work.
