More goat babies

Two born this evening, one boy and one girl.

Georgie Girl actually had 2 girls, but only this red one made it.

Her name is Scarlet.

And Minnie-Ha-Ha had a big boy.

His name is Scarface.

Only one more Nanny to kid and then we will be thru until next season.  We had done pretty good. All the babies are doing good.  These two are up eating.  It is supposed to rain tonight, but they have a good dry place with fresh clean hay so they will be cozy.

Meet Ada Mae

Betty's granddaughter, born about 4 am today, 4 lbs 14 ounces, just over 19 inches.  So far so good.  Mama is doing fine.  Daddy was a little late as he was almost 3 hours away, but is there now. Sister Laura was there to hold mama's hand and cheer.  Sisters saved the day, again.

We are Family...

Bailie

Is the supervisor at work that I share an office with.  I like her much more than the man I used to work with.  She bought a new house in Huntsville and moved in last weekend.  We had her a house warming party yesterday at work.

I gave her Gilbert's cross, the one off my wall. He is making me a new one with wood from the 'new barn',  I hope she likes it.  I think his crosses are really neat.  It is almost as pretty as the one I got from Larry.  They hung together over the couch in the living room.  Larry's cross will hang by itself for a while til Gilbert gets a replacement made.

Definitely Stallone

Cause he is a BIG boy.

Snickers had this big boy about 5:30 today.  Sticking with the S names, he certainly fits the Stallone name.

He is cute.

and strong.

and bigger t than the little nanny that was born a 8 days ago.

Helen thinks she is going to drop another one, but it has been over an hour now.  I am sure it is one and done. That is why he is so big.

So, now we have 19 babies.  Nine boys, 10 girls.   All really cute.

Four More

Martha Washington had 2 early this morning.

Helen found them when she came down to put the people kids on the bus. One boy and one girl.  I think the one with the speckled ears is the girl, but I don't remember for sure.

And then when I came home from work, I saw Lightin up on the flat by herself.  I knew she was kidding.

A boy and girl again.  I am not sure which one is the girl.  They are all good looking kids.  It is easier to take care of new babies in 70 degree weather.

I hope this is really spring

It was way up in the 60s today, but we have had this before and then it turns cold.  I am tired of cold.

The kids walking their puppy.

Hanna thinks she is going to train her.  We will see how that goes.

My goat herd.  No new babies yet.  Saturday, I am going to separate out the yearlings that are going to kid and put them in the pen with the new mama.  But, we may have another one or two kidding by then.

This is the last one.  She is cute, but tiny.

This is a crane down on the pond.  I shot this from my yard with the camera I bought to take to Japan.  It takes good pics, but it does not have an eye piece so I cannot see what I am shooting in the sunlight.  It is literally a point in the sun with me.

Back to work

Greg got Robert a new puppy. A female blue healer.  Robert named her Daisy.  Greg built her a nice pen outside.  The kids really like her cause she is sooo cute.

We do not have anymore baby goats, but it won't be long now. With sister's help, we doctored the brown mama that was still limping, again.  And, we trimmed her hooves.  Hopefully she will get well.  She was improved, but still limping.  Her hooves really needed a trim.

Helen and I went to Brenda Gail's grandbaby's birthday party yesterday afternoon and then went out to see Barb.  She is still looking good.  It was good to visit with everyone.

Back to work today.
