The Promise

Today is THE day.  The day we start putting down the rest of my flooring.  I am off till a week from Monday and on that day, I am going to have a completely new floor from the back room all the way to my bedroom.  Someday, I will also redo the floor in my bedroom, but that has to wait until we get the new kitchen.  Our new windows will be here next week, so George is going to be very busy.

Sisters are posting their favorite gospel songs.  This is my favorite, and Elvis Presley sings it better than anyone.  Patsy can go find the video of him singing it and post it for me.  I have not figured out how to post videos from another site to my blog.  Isn't it something that Patsy knows more about any of this stuff than the rest of us?

How Great Thou Art

Lyrics ~ Carl Boberg, 1859 - 1940
English Translation ~ Stuart K. Hine, 1899 -

Stanza 1:
O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all
The works Thy Hand hath made,
I see the stars,
I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout
The universe displayed;

Stanza 2:
When through the woods
And forest glades I wander
I hear the birds
Sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down
From lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook
And feel the gentle breeze;

Refrain:
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

Stanza 3:
When Christ shall come,
With shouts of acclamation,
And take me home,
What joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow
In humble adoration
And there proclaim,
"My God, how great Thou art!"

Refrain:
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

Count your Blessings

We have not been blown away or washed away.

Rain, rain, and more rain, but it is 61 degrees and is supposed to stay above 60 or so tonight.
