Tomorrow

Me  and the kids are going to Betty's to get M's birthday present that Ansrid made for us.

Because, today, I tried to take Hannah to Mediquick in Harrison because her ear is stopped up and she cannot hear.  I know that is very uncomfortable.  Usually, we can get it to open, but it has been a week now.  But, we had trouble.  I did not know Me diquick had moved downstairs, so I thought it was closed.  Anyway, our plan now is to go to Dr about 10 tomorrow, and then on down to Bett's.  If we need a script, we can pick it up on the way back.  We should get to sister's around 1 or 2.

We did sort of get Lane a computer for his school.  I say sort of because it is coming in the mail. But my part is done cause son has to send it on to Japan.

I have logged 54 miles this year.  I still have not decided where I am going.  I may walk from sea to sea.  Wonder how many miles that is.

News from the west coast

Helen left me a voice mail that Kinzie came thru everything in great shape   Dr says things turned out just as he had expected.  Kinzie should go  home this evening and not even have to spend anytime in the hospital.

Also, her friend Sandy had a very good report from her Doctors.  Much better than most of us expected.

Things are looking up.

Tell Kinzie we love her.

Bible Study

Our Church has started a new Bible Study course on Wednesday night.  This one gives us things to do all week.  This week's lessons concern promises and today's verse is,

Philippians
{4:19} But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

As surely most of us can see, this is not correct grammar, not even 1611 English.  I looked at several different websites, and all I found for the KJV of the Bible was this exact wording.  I think it means all your needs.  When I go to lunch, I will look in my real Bible in the truck to see what Schofield says. [Scofiield says the same thing.]

But, back to BS, the questions with this verse are:
What does this promise mean to you right now?
Why do you or don't you believe God is keeping it for you?

I am not sure this addresses the BS questions, but what I get from this verse is that God will supply my needs.  Many scholars  are quick to emphasize that this says all your NEEDS, not all your WANTS.  Just the same, my main want in life is Peace of Mind.  I have found, if I allow Him, God will supply that Peace of Mind.  It is in my nature to worry about every little thing, but I try to make it  my manta, if my only contribution to the outcome is worry, just let it go.  Let it go to Him.  He has already taken care of everything and my worry is a useless activity.

Helen, are you listening?

I think Kinzie should be going into surgery soon, if not before.  God will take care of it all.

Lay your burdens on Him.

Matthew {11:28} Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. {11:29} Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. {11:30} For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

This Old House

Tonight, temperature outside was 16 degrees and temperature in this house in the living room with heated rooms shut up was 46 degrees.  That is not bad.  I did leave the water running in the kitchen as it is going to be really cold tonight and then again on Tuesday night.

Kids have been sitting in the house for weeks but they decided to go outside today.  They were out a total of about 2 hours.

They even road the wheeler a little.

Back to work tomorrow.

Burrrrrr

It was down in the teens last night, coldest day of the new year.  The goats have never taken to this little shed George got from Frank.  I like it because Floyd Powell originally built it.  A couple of days ago they decided it was a nice place to sleep in bad weather.  It has been here about a year.  They are finicky renters.

I did not walk early this am and did not go to Church.  Instead, at the time for Church, I walked 4 miles to the red barn.  Thirty six miles this year.  It has warmed up to almost 30 according to our window thermometer.

I.cooked my Christmas ham yesterday and today I used the bone to cook blackeyed peas.  I made cornbread in the iron skillet to go with them and it was really good.  Of course, no one but me wants blackeyed peas.  They are all on their own.

Hope tomorrow is warmer.
