Glorious Sunshine

Liquid that is.  It started early this morning before daylight and has returned several times today. a great relief from the August heat.

Enjoying my time off by doing almost nothing, my specialty.

No work

Until next Wednesday.  I am taking an extra long no larbor weekend.  I went for my walk this morning at 7:15.  I walked over to cemetery lane and back. It is 1 mile from my back door to cemetery lane.  On the way back I took a turn at Helen's and went up the hill.

I saw a few more flowers than I do in when I walk in the evening.  There are morning people and morning plants.  I think this is a passion flower.

This is the 'road' on top of the hill above Helen's.

The cave. I could not hear the spring trickling over the rocks like it was in the spring.

This is a deer path up around the cave. It angled off towards the east side of the cave and likely over the top of the hill.

This is a path from Helen's that connects with the above path.

This is a path from the very end of my driveway that connects with the same path.

I did not see any animals except for my two dogs.

The deer stand Gilbert and Helen put up on the hill is standing sturdy.

And that is my day so far.

Found treasure

Last evening while I was enjoying my walk, I found this treasure along the side of the road just where I left it Sunday morning.  During the week, I walk in the evening because I leave for work way before sunup.  Saturday and Sunday I try to walk around 7 or so and usually take a long a cup of coffee.  I nearly always leave it, meaning to pick it up on my way back.  Some of my cups have set waiting for several days. Cups are patient.

The treasures I find on my walks are not quite as fine as Sister Betty's finds.

Stella, Virginia Lee, Jimmy, Frankie, and Sarah. Or, Truman's bunch.

Melton and Gertie Powell were parents to 8 children, who blessed with 26 grandchildren.  There were representatives here of four children, Truman, Willis, Fleta, and Betty. We had a great time.  So, so thankful.
