Helen's yard

I watered Helen flowers this morning

They do not look too bad for going without water all week

I think the house looks more lived-in with pretty flowers growing in the yard instead of dead stuff

I am recording this message weird voice the way Hannah showed me

It seems to work pretty well accept I cannot figure out how to end a sentence or a paragraph without going to the keyboard

I have set my phone to upload all images to my Google image place.  When I try to put a picture on my blog using a link instead of the actual picture Betty cannot see it but I can
I am going to work on that
So Helen how do I put spaces in sentences and in paragraphs by speaking into the phone

Home again, home again, jiggedy jig

Good to be home, but I have spent 2 days doing the washing.  Think I am done now.

It is really hot  here.

We have plenty of tomatoes and are really enjoying them.  The boy and girl really enjoy them.  Some of my plants have a disease and are dying, but I planted 2 rows so we still have tons.  I watered them yesterday.

I am pleased that I finally got my garmin watch and my phone to mate.  Now my walking is stored on my phone so I can see previous days.  But, my knee is still pretty bad so I don't walk much.  Yesterday, I went to Dan's and back, 1 mile. The software updated, so, it now shows the weather.  It says it is 73 here now.  It also changed so that when I raise the watch to look at it, the face auto lights up.  I already liked the watch, but now I really like it.

Helen texted us when she touched down in Washington, but I have not heard from her since.  I am going to call her later.  It is only 6 there now.

Three more days and back to work.  I will  have worked only 2 days in 4 weeks when I go back.  I wonder if they missed me.

Salina KS tonight, home tomorrow

And Robert says it is the second best motel  ever after the one with a view of the junk yard cause this one is next to a truck stop.

We will all be glad to get home.  Kids will be glad to see their dog.  They keep asking if we can take the dog next time.  I keep saying no way.

On this trip I read one of my dollar books, 'Life is so good' about George Dawson, a black man born inn 1898.  It is a really good book that I will pass on to sister.
"It's not just the children. It's the grown-ups too. Some people are growing children, not raising children, and there's a big difference."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, people grow hogs. You give them a place to live, give them all the food they need to keep growing, and make sure that they don't get sick on you. With children you got to raise them. Of course, you feed and clothe them. But a parent has to take the time to teach them right and wrong. A parent has to discipline them. And a parent got to be there to listen to them, help them with their problems. I think most people do their best, but there are some parents these days that are growing children, not raising children.

HOME TOMORROW!!

If I do not go back to work until Monday as planned, I will have worked 2 days in 4 weeks.

Learning about phones

see

Kids are sleeping in an I am trying to entertain myself on the computer.  On this trip I have learned to do new to me things on my phone, banking [secure while motel wifi is not], type message by speaking like Helen does, check my data usages at att and maybe a few other things.  I still cannot get google to give driving directions.

I tried to hook my phone to my Win 10 computer and transfer pics like I do with the Win 7 laptop.  No go.  I could bring  up the photos but then it just clicks off photos, so I searched how to on google. I installed google 's photo app and uploaded the above photo to my google photos.  So here we are.

In Steamboat Springs waiting for the kids to wake up and go on to Rocky  Mountain National Park for camping.  We have two days planed, but I think we may forgo the second day and start on home tomorrow.  It will take two days to get home from here.  We are almost 1000 miles from home.  We are all a bit tired of this vacation thing.

It has been fun tho.  We all enjoyed the dinosaur park yesterday.  It was fun to see real dinosaur bones.

i don't think we will have cell service in the park, so by  afternoon we will be incognito again.

We are going to be glad to get home.
