Warm up

It is 21 @ 9 am. Low last night was 17, the highest low temp in several days. Supposed to get really cold tonight but warm up during the day. 

I walked out to Dan's yesterday afternoon. All bundled up it did not even seem cold, but I feel bad for these little calves. On that note I saw a headline yesterday about baby cows. I bet if the writer had googled baby cow google would have returned calf. At least Terry takes good care of his cattle. 

The boots are the gortex all weather boots Betty bought for me years ago. They are all I have worn outside for a week.

Oh boy, the sun is trying to come out if hiding. Going to be a good day.

A little more snow

A little less cold. We got about 2 to 3 inches of snow with a low temp of 12. It is 16 now. I miss the sunshine from yesterday. I think tonight is supposed to be the last night in single digits. We are supposed to get more snow tonight. Did I mention I hate the cold.

Heat wave

We are at 20 degrees now. Snow is melting, but supposed to get more tonight and tomorrow.

And more good news. I thought my big laptop was dead, but it was just trying to update.  It seems to be fine now. 

Negative

 Eight this morning.  I think this may be the coldest I have ever seen here on Dry Creek.

It is supposed to warm up a little each day.  Friday is supposed to be above freezing.  I am ready.

We ended up with around 6 to 8 inches of snow.  Still have elect, heat and water.

Welcome

We got about 6 inches, and it has stopped snowing for now. We have elect and running water at both houses so far.  My theometor say 11 degrees now.  Was 12 an hour ago.

Love of my life...

Is a big orange tractor.  At least for this day. We still have elect, but many in our county do not.  Son that lives here is much like his father.  No need to prepare, wait till we have snow and ice to move the generator into place. He thought he could pull it with his truck, but no go very far. Now, it is in place and ready to go if we need it.

I think we have close to 6 inches, with more to come through Wednesday. 

A little snow...

A lot of cold. The cow man is here feeding his cows. I get he had a cold ride. It is about 3 miles from his place here.

I walked out the road when I went to see about Helen's house. All is well with water and heat.

The low this morning was 5 or 6. My theometor says 12 now. We have about a inch of snow so far. Supposed to get more tonight. It is not supposed to be above freezing till Friday. I don't think I will go to work at all this week.
