Clean up crew

Greg cut down the 2 dead trees up by Helen ' barn and started cutting them up.

And he racked up grass he cut for the Billy goats that we have penned up.

I got dressed today cause I wb to the store. So the current record is 2 days on pj's.

Lazy Days of Summer

Especially for me.  I did not change out of my PJ's for the last 2 days.  I spent some time looking for dead relatives on the computer.  Not much success in that, so today I changed over to try to organize our CCHS historical society web site. I have finally decided to take the files I have and start all over with a new, simple, organized website.  The major stumbling block is finding the files I need.  Finally, tonight, I got out the backup drive and pulled the last backup from it.  It is really hard to determine which files on the old computer were the most recent.  At least I know in April of 2018 I thought these files were the most current.

Greg has been working on building a goat hauling trailer from one of George's old boat trailers.  He has it finished.

It looks pretty good.

Daisy, our Goat Dog.

This mama was eating wild cherries in the road at the first bend down towards Marr's yesterday.  We have seen her several times in the evening lately.  I think she has a baby down below the pond on our side of the road.  I could not decide which picture to use, so I am putting up several.

Just after this one she disappeared around the corner.

Pickens Cemetery Green Forest AR, new grave markers

George's sister that died before he was born is buried at Pickens Cemetery in a lot with her McLain Grandparents and other relatives.  Cousin Linda was concerned that her grave was not marked and said she was going to have a marked placed on Viola Louise Aday's grave.  At first I was just going to let her do that, but it did not seem right.  It seemed more fitting that her brother's family purchase her grave marker.  Last week markers were set for Viola's and J. T. Terherst, Linda's husband.  Linda was going to set JT's marker over by her parents, but it was crowded in that lot so she set it beside Viola.

and here is George's grave maker, from last week.  Sister's flowers still look beautiful.  We all sure miss him.  With George, a helping hand was always just a phone call away.

Old news, is it still news?

Saturday, June 29, Sister Helen hosted a family reunion and fire works show.

I did not take any pictures at all, but she did a good job of hosting, cooking and inviting.  All Truman's children were there, Jimmy & Stella, Donnie, Frankie and Sarah, and Virginia Lee.  Winnie Jo and husband Mike Sneed came down early and stayed all day.  We had a great time.  Catching up on old times and new times was so wonderful.

The fireworks were very loud and no one got hurt.

I know I should have taken pics, but I did not.  I do not have a good excuse.
