The Kids Room

Jr. has laid this type flooring before for hire. He seemed to know what he was doing. He said someone had taken the instructions from the first box he opened and he thought maybe it did not do them much good to read them. It looks good.

Helen's blog will not let me comment. I think she has blocked me.

I wanted to say that her Dr. what's his name saw her shoes and thought that any woman who had lived half a century and did not have brains enough to ware comfortable shoes had to have a brain problem.

The picture of the bird had nothing to do with the lamp. I just like the picture.

Son is supposed to come down today and help George put down the floor in the back bedroom. I have country ribs (you know they are pork steaks cut in a different shape?) and I am going to make baked beans. My plan is to just put it all in the oven and let it cook with very little help from me.

I am surprised...

No one asked what the picture had to do with the lamp question.
The babies are here. I could not get them both to look at the camera at one time. Grandma bought them some new spring shirts for school. They have lots of jeans, but need some pretty spring shirts. Robert was even proud of his shirts.

I have been wondering...

about these touch switches I got for my lamps. With this socket screwed into the lamp socket, any metal lamp can be converted into a touch switch lamp. With my reading pole lamp, I touch any place on the metal pole to turn the lamp on and off. How could this work? The thing that puzzles me the most about this is that it works when I touch the pole with my hand (or I guess any body part) but, if I use a cloth, a paper towel, or even a metal tool of some sort (a screw driver or a ink pen) the switch does not work. Why will it work when touched with a hand but not when touched with a cloth or metal object?

Do you see what I see?

Rain drops falling off the end of the roof and NOT down the side of the house, running into the window frames.

Peek A Boo, I see you

There were at least 6 in my yard this am. Here they are at the corner between me and Clayton's barn. I thought they were going to visit Clayton, but they went up over the hill by the old cave.
