We survived

Made it in to St Louis about and home by 12:30.  No problems.  And everything is ok here.  No new goat babies yet.

Hannah was pleased with her souvenirs.  She is a little hard to please.  She liked the yen the best.  The $10 yen says 1000.  I got us matching shirts but she took both shirts so all I have now is the shells I found and the shells I  bought.

I got robert regular t shirts at the px.  I knew he would not want an okinawa shirt.

The shells below are stacked turtles made of shells with a bobble head.  I am not much on souvenir junk but I like the shells.  Even the purchased ones.

Good to be home.  A couple of days ago son was asking what we wanted to do.  I said I was like robert. I want to go lay on my couch and watch tv.

Last day

It has been fun. Wednesday it rained all day so we went bowling and they we not to see water man the new movie.  Thursday we went to the WWii memorial and to the beach again.  There were lots of stair steps but it was beautiful. Then we went to a snake museum and walled thru a cave.  We went to a raw fish restaurant but only Lane ate raw fish. I ate some fish but not raw.

Not sure what we are doing today and tomorrow is the long road home.

The first pic below is a grave
They have these little houses all over. Sometimes right among where they live.  I posted a pic of them earlier but did not explain that it was a cemetery.

What to do on Christmas day

Why, go shopping, of course.  We first went to a cliff with a view and then to a local shopping district.  Was fun with lots of walking. And we ate st A&W.

Who knows what tomorrow holds.

Day 1, Dec 23rd, aquarium

Yeaterday, our first full day here, we went to the aquarium.  It had lots of fish and 2 big whale sharks.  It was interesting and very pretty.

They also had an authentic okinawan village with houses and outbuildings.  The better looking house was a religious leaders house and the thatched huts were regular people houses.  The actual living orvsleeping space is in the top while cooking, eating and day time activities were in the open space under the sleeping area.  This was necessary for protection from hurricanes.  With posting with my phone all the pictures have to go at the end of the post so u will just have to figure it out. Oh, and they had goats.

It is 530  am Christmas eve here and 15 hours before that on Dec 23 at home. Figure it out. My watch says 230.  I guess that is afternoon. Oh. And it is 67 degrees here. During the day it will be close to 80 all day.

I read betty's book about Jennie Mae and James and am ready to start on Sally fields.

On to another adventure today.

We made it

I am not sure this will post.  We have hotel wifi, but can't text or call.  The kids use Facebook to message, but I don't have that.  I got my email, so maybe this will work.

We are at a hotel on base.  It is much less expensive than down town. The flight was really really really long and tireing, but we are here now all showered and tucked in with my fuzzy blanket.

Tomorrow we go to the aquarium and then who knows.

The boy looks great.  He seems really happy. Grandma's worry.  It is so good to see him.  If this works tomorrow we will have more pictures.
