Fun, fun, fun

Papa helping the girl ride her bike.  She could ride it just fine if she had concrete to ride on, but it is hard on the gravel and grass.

And, helping the boy.  He had trouble peddling, but Papa loosened the peddles and the chain and it worked a little better.

Then, there is another way.  Push it up the hill.

Man handle it around to face down hill.

Get it started and...

GO LIKE THE WIND!!!!!
He thought this was wonderful fun and was not a bit afraid.  Papa and Memaw, on the other hand, were scared.

We went for a walk out past Uncle Clayton's...

Well, actually, Memaw walked, kids ran....

Memaw got a new pump for her bird fountain and Papa got it hooked up and working again..

 And the other bird bath.

Water, Water, everywhere and not a drop to drink

Unless we go outside and catch it in a bucket.  There is a water main break on the Denver Road and we have not water.

Clayton said on the way home a while ago, he could see the creek out of its banks half way up the bottom.

I hope it does not wash Jacob's stone down the creek.  That would be a kick in the head.  Just got it dug up and it washes away.  If we had left it in the grave with him, it would be safe.

Clayton, the weatherman

Called to say he heard it was going to rain tonight.

Saturday, George emptied the rain gage of 2" of rain.
Sunday, morning, I emptied out 4.5".
Monday, morning, I emptied out 3.5".
Just now, Monday evening 5pm, I emptied out 3".

That is 13" since Saturday.
