Blessing, Pilgrim, Turkey, and Gravy

Red had a brown nannie with some white and a white billy with a dark face. The billy is not doing real well, but I did finally see him eat.  She claims both of them so with them penned up, he may be alright.  The nannie is Blessing and the billy is Turkey, because he is.

He was born around 7 am and still is not dry and clean.

Miracle had a brown billy named Pilgrim.

And then,

Blackie had a billy named Gravy.  He is brown almost exactly like the brown nanny she had last time.  He is big and looks really strong.  Probably because she just  had one.

I have pictures taken first thing this morning, but they are  on George's phone and the computer will not find them.  Tomorrow they will be on the google photo backup. Then I will tell the whole story.

It is good to have a place to lock them up.

Hannah, The Pizza Chef

Made by Hannah, eaten by many.

Really, really good!

Free Day

This morning was cool and damp, but it is shaping up to a nice day.  I do not have to go to work til next Tuesday, and am not shopping so I have several free days.

Still no baby goats, but surely it can't be much longer.

Thanks to Helen's connections with the county judge, Wednesday this machine was coming down our road.  If he is not back today, he should be Monday.  We think it is a beautiful sight.

Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree

times 2.

In Hannah's room.

In living room.

The kids decorated both entirely on their own.

Finally Fall

Saturday afternoon we drove down to see the elk.

We saw one herd of a hundred or so.

The rut is over, but there were still some big bulls out.

And we saw a couple of deer.

At the turn off to Hawks Bill Craig there was many parked along side the road in both directions.  I thought it might have been and event, George thought it was hunters.

On the way through Harrison, we took the kids to eat at Western Sizzler.  They both thought this was a great eating place. Robert had 2 plates of deserts.

And this morning's frost.  The theometer says 26 degrees.  Yes, I am sure it is a theo meter.

Goats are protected.  I am thinking it will be Dec 1 before we have new babies.

Today we met a milestone.  In searching for shoes to wear, I tried Robert's.  They fit.
