Live Long and Prosper

Prosper may be up to you, but the live long falls mainly on your genes. Although, if you prosper, it can help supply the tools to live longer.

If I make it a couple more years, I will have lived longer than any of my siblings, to date.

This is all of us, taken in Daddy's front yard sometime in the early 80s.
Debbie in front went first at 27 years.
Patsy was the oldest and lived longer than anyone, making it to 76 years.
Richard lived to 69.
Clayton also make it to 69.
Gilbert, the baby, only made it to 60

Dad lived 73 years, and Mom 71.

Dad's father died at 71, and his mother at 81.

Mom's father died at 84, her mother at 82.
This couple were the longest lived couple of the three generations.

Our Great Grandfather Powell lived to 77 and Grandma to 71.

Our Great Grandfather Gaddy lived to 70.

Great Grandmother Gaddy lived to 72.

Grandpa Maples died young at 46, Grandma Maples 63.
These two had the shortest lives of our parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents.
Betty looks just like Grandma Maples, but she has made it well past 63.

Grandpa Thomas lived to 90, the longest lived of the 3 generations.
Grandma Thomas lived to 72.

That is 14 ancestors in the 3 generations. I have lived longer than 9 of the 14.

Mom's parents and grandparents lived longer than Dad's, but she lacked 2 years living as long.
That is likely a direct result of all those renegade children.
