Way Back...

on a couple of weeks ago,

I walked to the Red Barn and took this picture at the Blue Gate, Sunday August 24.  I guess it has  been awhile since I downloaded pics from my camera.  I have been walking most days, to this gate, 3 miles round trip.  Sometimes on the weekend, I walk to the Red Barn, 4 miles round trip.  I walk after Robert's dinner on weekdays, around 6 or so, and usually around 6 or 6:30 am when I walk on weekends.

This was taken Sunday August 24th, empty house.

This was taken last week, I think on Saturday when I went to Patsy's and got tomatoes.  Helen gave me this apple butter she had made to give to Patsy.  I forgot all about it when I got there.  It has not gone to waste.  It is really good.  Today for lunch, I had peanut butter and apple butter on cracked wheat bread.  The bowl is one Hannah and I found at the Salvation Army store in BV.  I got a set of bowls like this when I got married, 3 or 4 years ago, or maybe that is decades.  Last year, I dropped and broke the one like this, which was the only one of the set I had left.  I see Pyrex bowls like this sometimes, but not usually this color.  It cost $6, a bargain.

These are the kids two gold fish they got at the fair last Friday in the 25 cent fish bowl we got at a junk store, that would rather be called thrift store.  Auntie says the fish will die, but so far so good.  Hannah got the fly from Aunt Patsy. We took it out after changing the water one time, because it was hard to work around the fly.  Now, she has snails she got at the river in there.  I read online that the snails will make the fish sick, but so far so good on that also.

This is the cemetery last Saturday, August 30.   The weeds and grass may have grown today, because we got 2 inches of rain today. It was a cool day, I think the high was in the 70's.

Sunset, August 30.

We took the grandkids to the Buffalo on Labor Day.

They had a great time.

Emmy and Sam went.

The big girls wanted to jump from the bluff, and so did the little kids. Robert swam all the way over, but Em had to help Hannah.

Em and Sam.

One, two, three.

Jump!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again,

And again.

Lots of big splashes.

And, now you know all the known and unknown.

So glad to see the kids and see the pictures.

I am ashamed when you don't post I get a big knot in my stomach and it has been there for days. So afraid that you have more than you can handle, but then I recall the Lord will not do that to us and we are safe. When we do the very best we can, I know we have pleased Him.

Don't work too hard. I dreamed I was at work. There was a live mouse in the laundry room and Kelly wanted me to save it and just take it outside. I tried but this mouse peed a bucket of water on me and I threw him. He ran and was only a small mouse, don't know how he peed that huge amt. When I woke, I was so glad I did not have to go to work, but did go to walk. I walked 4 miles yesterday and 3 today. We had volleyball last night and again tonight. Game was at a tie and then back and worth....guess who came up to serve and won the game! Yes you are correct it was my little girl, Astrid!

Clayton is reading up a storm. Takes books everywhere. His old Grandma Griffin gave him a pint of peach jelly. He has been having toast and jelly. When it was about gone, he would tell his Dad to not put so much on there as it was going to run out. When he went to Janie's he took a book and read the entire thing to her...and then said "I am out of jelly".

Don't tell me to not worry about you. Will do no good as we are attached at the heart!
