MAGGIE MAY ADAY FANNING, a resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born November 17, 1917 in Nauvoo, Missouri, a daughter of John and Tempie Arminta (Williams) Aday. She departed this life Monday, September 01, 2014 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 96 years.

Maggie was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Rogers, AR. She worked on the line at a poultry plant. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren called her Grannie Maggie.

Maggie is survived by five children: Homer L. Fanning and wife Karen of Pea Ridge, AR, Tommy J. Fanning and wife Gayla, Betty Fanning, Mary J. and husband Gary Crews all of Eureka Springs, AR, and Lonnie R. Fanning and wife Loretta of Berryville, AR; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.

On September 17, 1933, Maggie was united in marriage with Jack Lawson Fanning who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, John and Tempie Aday; three brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jerry Spurlock officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
