Symbolic

This is anti-war protesters Grant Park, Chicago, 1968 during the Democratic National Convention. Tuesday night, our first Black President (hopefully anti-war) will celebrate his election is this same spot. At least one protester that was there in 1968 plans on being there again Tuesday night.

In the middle sixties I remember thinking of the Vietnam war in terms of WWII...then by 68...I realized what a stupid war it was.
If I had not had to work so hard in those years...just to live...I might have been a protester. The College of the Ozarks wes a very, very conservative place. I do not remember any protesting there. We were brain washed there.

I had not connected the dots. I should have known because Obama does everything in symbolic locations. Thanks for reminding me. Makes tingles run up my spine.
