Not a one tree hill

Today, at sunrise, I am walking up Meek hill. I weighed at work, and I had lost 7 pounds since I started the daily walking thingy. I get tired of walking the same road each day, so today at the dawn of the new day, I am walking a new road. Well, the road is very old, the walk is new. Remember when the mail box was at the top of the Meek hill and sometimes we walked to get the mail? And sometimes we road the donkey. Does anyone have a photo of any of us on the donkey?

For the sisters

And the cousins, and the nieces, and anyone else that is interested.

This buzzard was sitting in the top of a tree in the pasture next to Clayton's house when I went for my walk over the hill. Do you think he was just waiting for Clayton?

I found this at work:

A beautiful day on the red dirt road

Still Walking

Well, Friday I walked the 4 miles, to the red barn and back. But, it made my feet ache, so I am back to the 3 mile walk for a while at least. Yesterday morning, I took a detour just past Dan's house and walked up a road through his field to the top of the rock quary. I saw lots of brush and this old rock fence at the top of the hill. I wore my PJ's and got stickers all over them. I have washed them with some old clothes, but have not looked. I guess I will be picking stickers out of all the clothes for a week.
I have the two big grandkids today so I am going to try to get a new picture of all 4 together.

Achilles Hill

It has been 2 weeks now since I started walking after work and I am still at it. I have tried this before, but after 2 or 3 days I would give it up. I am now up to 3 miles in about 60 minutes. I walk to the blind corner past the Stone place, where the road starts around to Hamptons. All goes pretty good till I hit the dip by the Grave Yard and start up the looooong hill. Saturday or Sunday I am going all the way to the red barn. It is 2 miles over there and almost that far back, so it will be 4 miles. I am going to make it in 90 minutes.

Today in History

Today, for the first time in about 14 years, my two sons are working together. I have often thought it would be nice if they could work together. Greg got hired to be a driller where Junior works and it is now part of Junior's job to teach him to run the drill. I hope all goes well for both of them.
