This is the yellow bush that I stole from Ridgedale, MO last year.

We spread turkey manure on the garden and plowed and tilled it in with George's new tiller. Patsy says we put too much on and whatever we plant will burn up. George says no. I am afraid come July I am not going to want to garden anyway, so I am not worried either way. Anyway, if it does come up, the deer will probably eat it all. I have potatoes planted but not up yet. The garden really needs rain and it is trying to rain now, but I don't think we will get much. It is supposed to get down below 30 tonight. I guess we will take it hard after being in the 70's for 3 or 4 days.

George got his $25 raise from President Obama today. Tomorrow he is supposed to get his first SS check. I was a little afraid he had not done everything he was supposed to when he went last fall to apply, but I looked at the papers today and they have our bank account info on them for direct deposit so I guess he got it taken care of.

I saw today that the fire last night was JR Snow's pasture. The one back behind the old Molder house. JR likes to burn off his fields every spring but with the wind and dry conditions, he has not got them burned this year except for this one spectular one last night.

I am hoping for a good rain to bring up my radishes and letuce.

View from my front door tonight

I think this is over by Coin coming up the ridge to Snow's, but it may be on farther. It is dark and hard to tell just how far away it is. It may be across 62. I tried to get George to go see but he won't.

Dogs be gone

From my deck. I now have a gate that will keep the pup and Lane's dog out. I had to bring the cushions and the lawn chairs in from the deck because the pup was chewing on them. Now they go back and the pup stays in the yard. He will not be happy. He likes to come up on the deck and spy on us to see what we are doing.
George goes to the dentist today so I do not have to go to work. Just for good measure, I am staying home tomorrow. I plan on working in the rock garden. Hopefully, it will be less of a rock garden by Monday.

Spring

has sprung a leak. This was taken Saturday. It looks like a snow monster to me.

We had robins all over the yard Saturday. There must have been at least 50 of them.

The snow is all gone now but the weather has not warmed up much. Yesterday was not too bad, but today felt really cool even if it was up in the 40's. Tomorrow is supposed to be around 60 or 70. I hope so. I am ready.

Today was Clayton's last day at work.... Again. I don't think he will be going back again.
