Our Ogle line runs thru our Grandmother, Gerturde Maples Powell to her mother Sarah Lou Coxsey > her mother Martha Barksdale > her mother Rebecca Bidwell > her mother > Sarah Ogle and her father John Ogle. John Ogle's brother William Billy Ogle is the subject of the above historical account of the Ogle Cabin in Gatlnburg. Sadly, I have visited Gatlinburg, but did not know of of our connection to this piece of history at the time.
You can find the historic Ogle cabin in Downtown Gatlinburg at Traffic light # 3 next to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center.
