The Window Man

Did such a good job, I think I am going to hire him to put new windows in the living room and the kitchen. This is what the window looked like as he was taking it out. You can not see very well here because of the light in the window, but the framing timbers on the right side and below and above the window were rotted from water damage. The bottom 2x4 was about ready to fall out.

This is after he got the old window out. Still had to put the 2x4 in below the window.

When he got done, it fit perfectly and was square. It is a very nice window and it is so much better than what was there with the rotten framing.

From the outside. George is proud it turned out so well and so am I. I was afraid it would be a mess. I think it may have been a bit easier to replace than a house window because it was not put together very good to start with. Now it is. Oh, and brother helped put the new window in today before I even got home from work, so I did not have to help at all today.

It looks good. I bet it will be warmer and cooler. Now, he will want to replace more of them.
