Dear Deer

Hannah was out of school sick Thursday and Friday. I took her to urgent care yesterday.  She has strep, but is already much better.  I am sure she will be good to go Monday.  I guess that is why they call them wonder drugs.

So here are the deer pics.

The only buck in this set.

A family of 6 visits most days.

Our baby lost his spots a couple of months ago.

A close up.

Oh, Boy.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Now...

This is a glorious rainy day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.

I am reading a book about a WWII prison camp.  It is surprisingly upbeat. I enjoy reading about real people and their real lives that are so different from mine.  I am grateful the Lord gave me today to rest and read.

Quote from the prisoner book: On the whole, punishment hardens people and diminishes their sensibilities; it concentrates,  it intensifies the sense of alienation, it toughens the power of resistance. Nietzsche, The Genealogy of Morals, Essay 2, 1887.

Sun setting on...

From my window I often see beautiful close up sunsets, whereas, the sunrise is far off and obscure. That is my life's story.  The beginnings are far away and long ago.  The endings are close up and right here.
