Time for new glasses

 

I broke the frame on my glasses by sitting on them a couple of months ago. I could wear them, but one lense kept falling out. I have an appointment tomorrow to get new ones. So, today the frame completely broke.  I found my old pair, which are almost the same. I will be good till I get new one.

I went to Betty's for the weekend. We had a good time stalking Jayson Reed. We are amature stalkers. We make a good team.

I bought a new throw for my mismatched couch. It looks much better.

Now I am washing the cushions for my chairs on the deck.  Now that it is getting cooler, I can sit out there in the sun sometimes. Sunshine is good.

Bargain Day

 

Got this heavy old corner table for my guest room for $10.

Moved everything around.

Everythig fits.

Looks much better and this is the perfect end table.  It is an old corner TV stand and is much heavier than what is made now.

Coleman ice chest with handle and wheels for $10.  I needed something for the meat when I buy grocieries on Saturday.  I like to buy groceries first and then go to junk sales. Sometimes it has to set in the car for a few hours.

Got this little suitcase for Little Bit (Stormie Rain).  It is really cute.

Precious Moments for Stormie.  She is holding a Bible and has a cross chain on her arm.

This is for my boss for Christmas.  It says someting about True Friends and is also Precious Moments.

I got a couple more Precisous Moments at a good price that I am giving away.

Then I bought steaks for the neighbors for the two birthday boys.  I sent it all home with Greg and I ate Helen's leftover cornbread and milk. I am too tried to party tonight.

Tomorrow my youngest 💓 is getting married to 'the love of his life'.

First born will not be there, because he is supposed to work and does not want to mess up on his new job. So, really that is good news, good news.

Something to watch on TV, The Secret History of My Family

 This is a TV series from tracing problem families from 1800's England to present day descendants.  I have watched two episodes. It was really interesting. I watched on Prime, but it might be available on other systems.

Fog was rising off Dry Creek this morning. I walked to the cemetery, about 2.5 miles.

 Well, just after sunrise about 6:30.

Helen is going to church with me today, then we go pick up her grocery order.  I have a surprise for her. I want to go to harter house a d check out their meat selection. She may just sit in the car for that. We will either go for lunch or order we or lunch to go. 

Wearin Betty's color

 BROWN!

The brown pants are castoffs from Laura.  I have had these two tops for over 10 years. I like the dark one.  The shoes I got at Ross's today for $25. They are really comfortable. After the wedding, I can were them to work. Or I have a pair of nice leather sandles I can wear with this.

But, Helen says the shoes are not brown. They look brown to me.

Is the baby sick?

 

No, just resting.

 Helen and I are spending the weekend at Sister Betty's.  She has a cute new baby.

See what I saw...

 

About 10:30 this morning.  They were in Helen's yard  by the new barn when I first saw them. The escaped up on the hill. I count 5 young ones.

New Watch

 My Fitbit was on it's last bit, so I got a new Samsung Galaxy7 watch today. 

So far so good. My Fitbit will not get notifications anymore. Probably because of Google. This is a Samsung Watch 7. My phone is a Samsung, so maybe the two will be a love match.

Walk and Eat

 

I walked to the blue gate today. I started at 6 am. It is 3 miles round trip. This is the first time I have done this walk since September 26, the day before I broke my ancle. 

It is cooler today. Got a little rain early, and it is overcast now.

Helen and I are going to Branson today to food taste wedding food with son and his woman. Going to have fun!

These two photos were taken in the yard of our family home place that Daddy built in 1948.  Daddy and Mama lived in this house the rest of their lives. Brother Clayton lived here from 1988 until his death in 2014.  Now it is Sister Helen's home.  

Everything about the place is old. This week, the water line broke where the outside faucet is located.  This meant she had to shut off her water entirely as it was on the main line. Today, that little boy, Kelly, in the yellow shirt in the top photo and Helen repaired that water line in the pouring down rain.

Kelly is the only surviving child of Sister Patsy. He is a jewel.
