Back to Work

 

The last day I worked was October 9. I was gone 11 working days.  When I am gone, management does my job because they do not have anyone trained for my job. Well, the only part of my job they did was what had to be done each to produce and ship product. Everything else they left for me.  At noon today I was all caught up.  I knew most of this would be left for me, so I was a bit anxious.  All's Well. I should have known. That's the way it has been for several years, and really, I prefer to just do it myself.

This is a jacket I found in Helen's closet. I don't remember her wearing it. It is just right for work. Several pockets for keys and wallet.

Last Night...

Is here, but preparing to go down the mountain.

Fall

 Has arrived. It was 43° at my house this morning. 

But, I turned on my heat. Now, it is toasty inside.

Sister is coming through the mountains to visit today. She will be staying in my newly assembled guestroom.

Glad to be back home. It was good to be with Sister Betty when we recieve the news about Sister Helen. Betty and I comforted each other.

Sunday morning

This morning I started walking just at sunrise.

I walked to the top of the Meek hill  for the first time in over a year. I made it just fine. My ankle did not bother me at all. 

Then I went to Church and made everyone cry, especially Sister Joyce and Lorene.

Eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to understand...

 

Junior is with Helen. She is not alone. For sure she understands that she is loved.

Proud?

I was shocked by the name that was first on the list, and that New York made the top ten. Note that our country has the most billionaires of any country in the world, and yet, 6% of our population live in extreeme poverty, with an annual income of less that $8200.

No black sheep

 

Just white ones. When I walked last weekend, I saw the neighbors on the stone place have their sheep in the pastures along the road again. I don't think I have seen them all summer.

Friday night, yeah weekend again. No work fir me.

Helen

 Made it to Bill's.  Left home at 3pm yesterday and made it by 3pm today.  I am sure she drove carefully.

Tuesday...

 Three more days at work this week. So far, so good. 

Helen left for the dessert around 3 pm today. Hope all goes well. I will miss her. She says she will return in 3 weeks.

Time for new glasses

 

I broke the frame on my glasses by sitting on them a couple of months ago. I could wear them, but one lense kept falling out. I have an appointment tomorrow to get new ones. So, today the frame completely broke.  I found my old pair, which are almost the same. I will be good till I get new one.

I went to Betty's for the weekend. We had a good time stalking Jayson Reed. We are amature stalkers. We make a good team.

I bought a new throw for my mismatched couch. It looks much better.

Now I am washing the cushions for my chairs on the deck.  Now that it is getting cooler, I can sit out there in the sun sometimes. Sunshine is good.

Bargain Day

 

Got this heavy old corner table for my guest room for $10.

Moved everything around.

Everythig fits.

Looks much better and this is the perfect end table.  It is an old corner TV stand and is much heavier than what is made now.

Coleman ice chest with handle and wheels for $10.  I needed something for the meat when I buy grocieries on Saturday.  I like to buy groceries first and then go to junk sales. Sometimes it has to set in the car for a few hours.

Got this little suitcase for Little Bit (Stormie Rain).  It is really cute.

Precious Moments for Stormie.  She is holding a Bible and has a cross chain on her arm.

This is for my boss for Christmas.  It says someting about True Friends and is also Precious Moments.

I got a couple more Precisous Moments at a good price that I am giving away.

Then I bought steaks for the neighbors for the two birthday boys.  I sent it all home with Greg and I ate Helen's leftover cornbread and milk. I am too tried to party tonight.

Tomorrow my youngest 💓 is getting married to 'the love of his life'.

First born will not be there, because he is supposed to work and does not want to mess up on his new job. So, really that is good news, good news.
