On one of my genealogy lists, I saw the term Sod Widow and Grass Widow.
One whose husband is no longer with her because he is beneath the sod is a Sod Widow. One whose husband is no longer with her because he is living elsewhere is a Grass Widow.
well since I am not the nicest person I would say with my heart I would rather be a sod widow....But with my situation I guess with my head, I would be better off being a grass widow...Then again you may have just made this up...I think I will check Google on this...
I found...Grass widow...he left his wife because the grass is greener elsewhere...LOL that was funny...So I guess I would not have any say to be a grass widow or not...

How neat. Did not know this. Did you watch the graveyard documentary on PBS last night. I really enjoyed it.
