I walked over to the Church this morning and then up the hill, down through the field of Farm 2, down the fence between them and JR, down to the Creek, across the creek up the edge of Dan's bottom field and back home. I saw lots and lots of eagles. Most of the adults were circling over head, but the young ones were sitting in the trees watching.
I think it is about 6 miles and took me 4 hours. I did not hurry. Pam was cleaning the Church all by herself. I could hear the vacuum running as I walked by.
I got my feet wet crossing the creek, but it was 60 degrees by that time. It is going to be a beautiful day.
Greg took the kids to a movie, so I have the afternoon to do whatever.

Lane's Computer
I bought Lane a new computer because he is supposed to start college courses. I tried to get BestBuy to send it to him but that did not work out. Yesterday, I sent it via our US Post Office. I ensured it in case it gets dropped in the Ocean between here and Japan.
I did not ask him what computer he wanted. I bought the one I wanted.

Toshiba
- Satellite 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 6GB Memory - 1TB
Hard Drive - Brushed Black
It is supposed to be in the upper 60's today and tomorrow. I guess I will go grocery shopping at noon today. I don't really want to, but probably need to.
I turned the heat off in This Old House last night. I will need to turn it back on Wednesday night and then Sister can take it from there. Less than a week now and she will be back. I can't remember when she goes to AZ but it is soon.
If Patsy were still around, the Trump would be much more fun.

Harry Smith on Obama
Published: January 29, 2008 12:30 PM ET
NEW YORK You can't say that the thought had not already occurred to millions, but still it was a surprise to watch CBS morning guy Harry Smith raising today the question of Barack Obama getting assassinated -- with Ted Kennedy, no less.
According to the video, Smith asked, "When you see that enthusiasm [for Obama] though, and when you see the generational change that seems to be taking place before our eyes, does it make you at all fearful?"
Kennedy seemed to not know what Smith was hinting at -- although he did stutter a bit -- and offered a bland reply about a "new generation."
I am sure Kennedy knew exactly what Smith was saying. no one has had the audacity to say this until now but I am sure it is a real possibility.
I wonder who Teddy has in mind for the Vice Presidenty?

Omron Model HJ-112 Pedometer
I got a new Garmin fitness watch from JR for Christmas and like it much more than I thought I would. I wear it every day, but I do not always pay attention to the steps display. I like it because it is a watch and will display my heart rate. One device, with many functions, but the time and heart rate are what I use most.
I had a Omron Model HJ-112 Pedometer that I have now passed on to Betty. I like it because I felt it gave an accurate count of my steps and it would store and display 7 days of data. I found the user manual for it online here
in case instructions are needed. I have it set to a 26" step.
Here is the most useful page in the user manual.

This is probably all you will need to know to use this. I always clipped it on my waistband in the morning and just wore it all day.

Astrid
I want 3 of the small tiger logo signs or whatever you call them. I want the small size so they will not have to hunt for space to display them, either at school or home. I do not want initials on them. I want the word TIGERS instead. And, if you want Green Forest, or Go Tigers, Yea Tigers, or something like that, but TIGERS alone would be fine. They do not need to be exactly alike, but can be if you want to make them that way.
I want them by the middle of May to give to the teachers by the end of school. I will come get them or have your Grandma bring them to me. I will mail you a $30 check tomorrow.
You need a business card with your contact info and where/how someone can see samples of your work. You need to design your own logo for the card.

Early Morning, Mama's Birthday
Today is Mama's birthday. I think it was 95 years ago that she was born.
Yesterday I started out at 6:30 and walked 6 miles around Douglas Road to Molders and back. Today I started at 6 and just went to the Red Barn, 4 miles. I like to get back and not be rushed on Church day.
Yesterday, also I went to BRV and got KFC for dinner, so no cooking. I may do spaghetti today.
