VBS Sheep

I am trying to get organized for VBS crafts. The theme is the good shepherd, so I have landed on a Psalm 23 theme for crafts.

For the big kids, I am going to have them make posters illustrating this Psalm. Either 5 posters, one with a certain section of verses, or 5 individual posters illustrating all the verses, their choice.  I will have 2 classes that are mature enough come up with ideas for the posters so I will divide these classes into 5 teams to work on the posters.  Helen says to have them draw with colored pencils, but I may do paints.

I have a few ideas paper crafts for the preschoolers.  Their posters will be coloring pages.

Helen had an idea to make sachets  with sheep print material. I was going to Fayetteville this week end to look for sheep fabric, but instead I ordered it online.  Costs less to ship than to drive one way to Fayetteville.

They are both really cute.

Here are some ideas I downloaded for posters.

Goats to Linda T, and in the cool thanks to Brother

Sunday, the kids and I took Linda this billy, in front on the left.

And this nanny, in front.

Brother helped us load them.  AND he fixed my window air conditioner.  I bought a new one for the living room last summer that worked great.  When I started it this year, it ran one day and then quit.  It has an outside plug, so I thought it had gotten water in the box and shorted out.  I just had no way to test it and no idea how to go about fixing it anyway.  He brought his tester and found the box had 220, so decided it was probably the plug on the unit.  He hooked it up direct and it works great again.  I will get a new connector and he will fix it right the next time he comes over, but for now, it works as is.

I took a couple of days off at the end of last week.  Thursday, I took the truck to Branson for service.  I hate going up there on Friday, so I just took both days.  One day, Helen and I ran around doing much of nothing, but we had a good time together.

Today it was back to work.
