Saturday, day of rest

I bought aprons for me and Hannah because I thought they were so very cute.  Hannah liked the one Helen made better.  And, she did not think she needed two aprons.

I bought this one for a friend at work.

Kids, except Robert. He was inside watching videos.

Clayton's potato patch.

And the whole garden.  Strawberries beyond the potatoes and onions and tomatoes in the distance.

From the other side.

Boy watching videos on Daddy's phone.

My potato patch.  Lettuce, radishes and onions in the first part of the first row.  Some squash and cukes in the last row.  Then three rows of corn, about 3 inches tall.

Tomatoes close to the water faucet.  Some peppers and a few melons.

Big,Big Day

We went to Berryville, do not have to go back anymore, and the kids are here forever and ever.  Then we went to Eureka and graduated.  Greg thinks they have both graduated now, so they need to each get a job.

Walking to the front.

Giving Daddy a high five.

Hannah and Ms Kelly.

Robert and Ms Catherine.  Robert said Miss Catherine loves me in my heart.  The first day when we showed up at school to get the kids,  Ms Catherine cried when we said it was Daddy and Grandma.

Tomorrow is the big day

Graduation and decision day.

The graveyard is almost weed free.

Patsy's pink rose by the 1853 stone.  It is supposed to rain tonight.  If it doesn't rain soon, I will need to water it and the others I planted.

Won't be long now...

The kids have two more days of school then out for the summer.  No more hauling them across the mountain twice a day.  Next year they will go to school here.  It will be much easier for all of us.

And, they are looking forward to summer.  Hannah because she thinks she is going to get to do lots of fun things this summer and Robert just because.

Day of Rest

Did not do much today.  I went to the cemetery here and cut some more weeds.  I think it will take couple of more weeding trips to get it all done.  It is looking so much better.

I tilled the garden yesterday and hoed up the tomatoes and potatoes.  It looks a lot better.  Now it can rain.

a family of blue birds.

You talkin' to me.

Goats in shade.

Hot Rod and Patsy.

George brush hogged the area around the gate where the goats rest sometimes and he made a path down to the pond.  The grass was up almost to my waist and it was hard to walk in.  I walked down to see about Blackie twice today.  I don't want her to have kids for a week before we notice.   She has a big bag, so surely it won't be much longer. Then Big Red will be next.  It may be the end of June before any of them have kids, but Blackie and Red are so big they have trouble just walking.  We will seee.
