Day of leisure

I took a vacation day today and Tuesday to give myself a 5 day weekend.  

Today was a lazy day

 I walked to the blue gate, 3 miles round trip, but not at 6am like my usual weekend walk.  I waited till 8:30 and it was still really nice and cool. I think we are through the really hot day. Highs are supposed to be I. The mid 80's this week.

Much Cooler Today...

 And I am really glad.  Tired of hot, hot.  I walked to the blue gate and back this moring, 3 miles round trip.  I started before 7 and got back just after 8

This is one of the guard dogs the neighbors on the Stone place have with their sheep.  They have 3 or 4 of these. When we walk by they bark at Daisy and Ginger.  Their loud barks used to really scare Ginger, but she has about decided they it is all bark and no bite. 

Here is one dog at the top of the hill guarding his charges.  They have lots of sheep.  Well over 100, maybe even 200 or so.  They are mostly white, but a few black ones and several that are a redish tan color.  They have 3 or 4 fenced fields and move them from one to another every month or two.  Now they are on the northern field.  In the spring, when they have babies, they are in the field close around the house.

Also saw this mama and her many babies.
