More flowers

This is one of the two purple iris I got from Patsy's yard.
I really like these plants because they are no trouble to take care of and they are pretty plants even after they bloom. I would like to have some bright yellow ones and I saw some just up the road. The next time brother goes gambling I may take a gamble and a hoe up the road and get a yellow iris.
I have red and yellow roses blooming.
It has been a beautiful day here with not rain, but it is clouding up now. We have had enough rain for a while. I hope it does not get like last year with water everywhere.

So far, so good

This is our little wren feeding the babies. The nest is only 6 feet from our deck.

This is a flower I stole from Ridgedale last year. It is beautiful.

I am doing good. I have a walker to help me get around, but this am when I wanted coffee and george was still sleeping, I had to leave the walker behind in order to carry the cup of coffee. I have been walking a little but I am not bending the knee when I walk. I have lots of pain pills and they work really well. Patsy wants me to save her some pills, but I am thinking if I have any left over I am going to try selling them to help pay my Dr. bills.

In the News

Grandma's Horn Beans are coming up. Richard gave them to Patsy. Patsy gave them to me. They have been in my freezer for 3 or 4 years and I had not tried to plant them. When we had no electric in January, I moved them to the refrigerator. I planted them a week ago Sunday. They came up today.

I am going to have surgery on my knee Friday, May 8 with Dr. Powell. He says 90% of the people that get this surgery are 90% satisfied with the results. He said I should be back to 90% of what I could do before I hurt it. I am 90% ready to do something. I am tired of the pain and swelling. If it does not turn out good, Betty will say I told you so.

Happy Birthday Patsy

Someone had a very good time on your birthday. They about knocked the puddle dry.
