The Yaddy family

Benjamin Yaddy, Leona Yaddy, and Basil Yaddy were living in Sanger, Fresno County, California in 1940.

Clara Dell Biles and her husband Clay Henry are in Rogue River, Jackson, Oregon.

George's uncle Willis Aday was in Kern County and his mother and step father lived with them.  There were many other Adays in California at the time and most all of them were names I recognize for George's family.

July 14, Found

I did not find a picture of Gilbert to post yesterday, but here is one of him and Clayton together.

The goats are enjoying the cooler weather.  We have had one little shower this morning and maybe more to come.  Almost the whole shy is overcast and I can still hear thunder.

This is going to be a lazy weekend.  Betty, today is Saturday.

No news.

July 10

Weather is much nicer than last week.  The rain helped my tomatoes.  I still have several that  I have to throw away, but I got many more today that were nice tomatoes.

I have a prediction.  Thursday, the report from the investigator that Penn State hired to investigate their selves is releasing his report.  I predict they are going to blame the dead man.    At least blame him for not reporting anything and letting it continue for so long.  I think they all knew and some of them precipitated in the abuse.  I think they did not report what was going on because they were not horrified by what was going on as we are.  I definitely think the dead man had known for years what his friend was doing.  That is why he told his assistance to choose between the boys and the team.  His friend chose the boys.  They all had to know at that point.

July 9

and more rain.  Almost another half inch for the day and it is still raining off and on.

It is much, much cooler than last week.

Work was not too bad today, but tomorrow I have to make new computer checks for the new product we are going to start running.  I have built so many of these now that it is usually really easy but this one is going to be a little more complicated.  Helen is always wanted me to retire.  If I was to retire, the boss would have to do these kind of things herself as she does not have anyone working for her that could do it.  For now, I am just going to keep going in and taking their money.  It is actually a good job and it is easy for me.  And, I got a raise last week.

I guess Betty is never going to get any rain.

July 08

Today the temp was not so hot, but it was humid and felt really hot.  Now, we have another rain coming up and it is cooler.  Not sure if it is going to rain or not, but at least it is a lot cooler than it was a couple of hours ago.

I picked a little corn today.  It is not real pretty, but it tastes good.

And, yesterday I did something I have been wanting to do since I got this new laptop.  I used the wifi on the two laptops and created a network so I can transfer pictures and files between the two computers.  I thought surely if they both have wifi there should be a way of connecting them without the internet and there is.

Tomorrow back to the grind.
