Locomotion challenged

Yesterday, I stepped on a hole in the yard and fell down.  I broke my fibular down near the ankle. I have a soft cast for now. Will go to bone doctor Monday, and likely get a real cast.  It does not hurt, and I have strong drugs if it starts to hurt. Sister Helen is taking good care of me.

Preparing for cold weather

I bought a small lamp so I can bring my succulents inside before frost. It works well for these two, but I may have to bring the one I took to work home. I don't think it is going to get enough light on my desk. We will wait and see how it does.

Today is...

 

I have been meaning for a while to change my Dish Network package to a less expensive package, because I only watch a few channels. Today I just did it.  It will be $30 less expensive now.  I like having Dish becasue I can schedule thing to record and watch them later.  And, I can skip thru the ads. I have a smart TV now, and sometimes I watch something thru streaming, but no often.  Mostly I watch PBS. So, that is done.

And, I get my yahoo mail thru my Gmail app. In the last couple of months I have been getting an extrodinary number of spam emails every day.  On my phone with the gmail app, I cannot make them go to the spam folder, but I can on line on the computer.  Today, I logged on and marked a bunch as spam.  If I do that for a week or so, I will not have to look at them again.  Eventually it will creep back up with new spam, but if I go online an sort them out about once a month, it will really decrease.

And, my sweet sister that lives next door helped me with the window air I bought at Wally world in May that had quit working.  Thanks to her, they are sending a replacement unit at no cost.  The only cost was Sister's time.

Work is going good. I am all caught up from the 2 weeks off, and back to looking for things to keep busy. 

Life is good.  Just do it.

Work plant

I took this plant to work today. I got it from Helen or Betty. Don't remember exactly.  It has been on my sunny deck all summer and has thrived. I do not have a sunny place for it in my house so I'm going to try it here. If it does not do well, I will buy  a grow light and put it in my living room. I have one other plant I want to bring in, so I need a grow light anyway.

First day back at work...

After almost 2 weeks off. Don't I look cute. If you look down on the right, you might see a tag on my shirt. I wore it wrong side out all day. I did have a shirt over it, so no one noticed. Other than that, everything went fine.  By the end of the day tomorrow I should be all caught up.  My boss did some of my work, but could not quite figure it all out. And, a lot of it she did yesterday, Sunday. I am a one woman team.
