Sweet Seventeen

Our little girl.  Hope she has a wondrous day. 

At least the weather has warmed up.  It got up to about 50 at my house yesterday and is supposed to be even warmer today.  And, as a plus, it is go home early day.  I am ready.

at 2 pm today the temp is all the way up to 10 degrees.


Things to be thankful for.


A place out of the weather to park my truck.


and a big 4x4 dependable truck to drive.

Lots of warm clothes.

Made it to work just fine.  Might as well be at work on days like this.  Not much fun to be had anywhere.

Cold and getting colder

We got more snow today and it is supposed to be really cold tonight.  I made it to work just fine with my good truck.  When weather is bad, I am glad to have a good truck that gets over the hills.

Kids did not go to school today and are out again tomorrow.  They may not go back till after Wednesday as it is not supposed to get above freezing until then.

I really hate the cold.

Snowbirds

More snow day

Now the sun is shinning and it is melting.

Earnhardt is getting really big.  He is 8 months old and is about twice as big as the two nannies we have that were born the same week he was born.

Not much traffic today.  Helen likes that.

32 and blowing snow...

By my thermometer on the back porch.  It is protected so it is a little warmer than out in front but if you don''t keep it in the shade it will go crazy and break in the summer.  Net says it is 24 degrees in GF, but it is always warmer here by our hill than up top.

I don't think the kids will have school tomorrow.  Anymore they usually have way more snow days built into the schedule than ever use.

It has almost quit now.  I don't guess I will venture out today after all.  We are supposed to get ahout a half inch.  

Helen came down first thing this am and brought cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven.  They were wonderful but don't tell her.  She would get the big head.

I think I will go on to work tomorrow.  I have a good truck and I would rather save my days off for better weather, but we will see. 

Sbiw Day

Should say snow.  I am a professional typist.  We got a little sprinkling of snow.  Not much, but just enough that church was called off.  Helen and I were so disappointed as we both had other plans anyway.  She is entertaining Brother today.  I am going to Walmart and get a new printer.  The one I have refuses to feed paper.  It only costs about $60 two years ago so I am just going to get another.  I don't use the printer much, but I don't like not having one.

The billy got out of his little pen a couple of days ago and bred one of the 8 month old nannies.  I don't think she is old enough to be bred to him because he is a really big billy.  I think I will  probably sell her when I sell this year's crop of billies.  Should start coming in February.

The new pup is doing fine.  He stays outside in the pen Greg made.  Helen gave Greg a small barrel to make the other dog a dog house.  She stays outside during the day when we are all gone.

Tuesday and Wednesday it is supposed to get down to zero here.  Can't wait.  It has been years since we had a temperature below zero.
