It isn't easy being a good neighbor
This afternoon I heard dogs barking down in the neighbor's field just across from our field. Cows were bawling and carry on something terrible while bunched up and running through the field. After a while I got worried that maybe my dog was in on this, but I found her in the yard. I tied her up so she could not join the party. After about 30 minutes or so, when things just got louder and louder, I thought maybe I should try to do something. I went out to get a better look and saw my dog had gotten loose from her lead. I got my trusty walking stick and started going down towards the cows calling Daisy. Daisy did not come, but the white dog did so I put her in the house and started out again trying to find Daisy. As I started down the road, she came to me from the other direction, so she had not gone to join the fun. I tied her up more securely this time and sat on the deck to see if I could see the dogs causing the trouble. I sounded like several dogs, but all I could see was 2. Finally, after this had gone on for about and hour and the cows sounded even more distressed, I went hunting for the neighbors phone number to call them. When I told her some dogs were chasing her cows, she said they had someone with dogs helping them get the cows up. Looking at these dogs, they do not look like stock dogs to me. But, whatever.
