FIRE!!!
We were on hwy 412 between Dry Fork and Old Alabam when we saw this in the sky to the south of us. The forest was on fire in Madison county. It looked like an intentional burn by the forest service, but it could have been just an accidental fire.

A new day
I got Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope, from the Berryville Library and read part of it. After about the first 150 pages or so, I kinda lost interest, but I did agree with much of what he said. I was impressed with his writing ability and I think he did actually write it himself. Often, celebrities use ghost writers, but I sensed this was his own work. I can see from reading his words why some would say he brings JFK to mind. I have a much higher opinion of him after reading his words. I have requested the one he wrote abut his life, but they have to get it from another library so that may take a while. Maybe he could bring a bright new day. Another book, the Bible, says no.

I'm broke
First, my computer. The sisters are saying that you get a virus on your computer if you click on or deleted the links on some of our comments so they have all turned on word verification on their comments. I deleted the bad link in my comments. I scanned my drive for viruses and did not find any, but I have not updated my virus scanner since Sept 07 because I did not renew it when the sub was up. I think I am alright, but not sure. We will see, I guess.
Second, Patsy got me started on our local library's website. I got a password from the library, logged in, used it for and hour or so just trying it out. But, now, it does not work. When I go to the library website, I get a page of html code instead of the website. I guess I need to ask sister what her library page shows. Maybe this is my virus.
Third, my glasses are broken. This is the most serious broke of all. I am using the glasses I had before the latest pair, but they are broken also, which is why I got new glasses the last time. This time the frame broke around the left lense. It is not repairable, so I will have to get new glasses. The good thing is, I can not see out of my left eye even with glasses so I could still use these glasses. They would just look very odd, with no left lense and the frame greatly broken. The old pair has the nose piece broken, the little piece that rest on the noes on the left side is completely gone. I guess I am hard on the left side of my glasses. Maybe because I can not see out of that side. The good thing is, I can not tell any difference in how I see with the old glasses. I will go this week and get new glasses.
I may have to call Patsy and have her come over and work on my computer, after her nurse leaves today.
