Ginger Free

Hannah and Robert got a new dog.  Her name is Ginger Free cause we went to the pound to look for a small house dog.  The last small dog they  had was adopted yesterday.  As we were getting in the truck to leave, someone pulled up with this dog.  Instead of leaving her at the shelter, they gave her to us.  She is an adult housebroke terrier of some kind.  She is really nice and she does not bark at all.  Both kids are really pleased with her.

The goats we sold cleared $400 after the sale barn commission fees.  Bertha brought $88, Patches and 2 kids brought $240, one  kid brought $69 and one brought $55.  I figure it was Cinderella Left Behind that went for $55 as she was the smallest of all.  The sold Patches and the two kids that were with her as a family.

I got my hair trimmed Thursday.  It looks a lot better.  It was getting really shaggy.  I will need to go back for a perm by the middle to June so it will not be fuzzy when we go on vacation.  It is only about 6 weeks till we leave. July 05.  I finally finished making reservations this week.  We are going to have a great time.

Growing...

The garden.  George tilled it again right before the rain.  It is looking good.

The babies were enjoying the sun this afternoon.  It has been rainy and cloudy since Monday.

Running.

The new kids...

The one in back is still doing better and is stronger than the other one.

The weaker one in front, has just a spot on its left eye with the right side of its face brown and a small brown spot at the back of its neck.  The other one is marked more evenly on the face.

Hopefully they will both be fine.  We need to keep them penned up for a week or so.  I have not named them yet.

Mama looks good.

Sold some, and gained some

Saturday, we sold Bertha, another grown nanny and 4 kids.

Patches was the other nanny we sold.  She was our smallest nanny.  We sold her 3 kids and one billy off the black nanny.  We won't know until Wednesday how much they sold for.

We tied Bertha because she is so bossy she picks on the others when they are confined and cannot get away.

That left us with 5 grown nannies, one grown billy, 4 nannies about 2 months old and a back up billy that is about 2 months old.

This morning Cher had two baby girls.

The one on the right is stronger than the other one.  We need to keep them locked up for a few days.  All the goats are locked in the pen right now.  It is raining and really cool for the middle of May.

Thanks to Helen for watering her plants so it would rain.  The rain is really good on the garden.
