Mile Posts

Today I had 21,200 steps.  I have worn a pedometer in one form or another for close to 15 years.  I think this is the most steps I have accumulated in one day.  I walked to the blue gate and back this morning, 3 miles round trip.  I walked to the top of the hill to check on the game cam twice, about 1.5 miles.  Then I walked to Dan's gate and back just now, 1 mile.  The rest of the steps are just around the house steps.

And for the week I have over 100,00.  That might be the most I have ever walked in a week my whole live.  Start over tomorrow.

This might be Scar.

Six here.

Five here.

There were lots of images with 3 and 4 deer.  There were several with 6 or 7.  The most I counted in one image was 8. There were lots of daytime images, mostly in the morning hours.

Beautiful day

But now it is raining. I worked til 9 this morning and cleaned house this afternoon.  Now I have 2 days with no work and no chores. I think I will read a book.

Work Credit

is best when someone else does the work and I get the credit.

I asked Sister Betty to make a baby blanket and hat for my hair dresser's new grandbaby.  Today I got my hair done. The baby and her mama were there so she gave me this thank you card.  I did not mention again that Sister did all the work.  I just took the credit.

Counting Steps

I am trying to get in at least 10,000 steps again.  When I was not feeling so well, some days I did not even get 5,000 steps.   For the last two weeks, I have been getting more steps in at work, because when it is cool I often only walk one mile after work.  One mile is about 2,400 steps for me.  Today was a red letter day. I had in my 10,000 steps by 10:30.  I know all this because of the wonderful Fitbit Sister Helen gave me about a year ago.  I love it.

This is my Fitbit screen now.
Above is just today, below is steps for the day.

This is the screen display that tells steps for the day, week, or whatever.  That chart at the top will display day, week, month, or year.

First Robin

Well, at least the first one I got a picture of.  I saw one or two last week but did not get a snap.  Soon we should have a whole yard full.

A beautiful day the Lord has made.

What do I know?

Well, sometimes, not as much as I think I know.  If you listen to country music you may have heard the hauntingly, beautiful sad song Tennessee Orange.  The singer sounds so sad and lost, as she asks her mother not to tell her father that she has a new lover and she is wearing Tennessee Orange for him.  The song struck me as so sad because the singer was a prisoner in a Tennessee prison because of a boyfriend and did not want her father to know.

WRONG, she is a Georgia sports fan dating a Tennessee sports fan and now wearing the Tennessee team's colors. So, instead of a haunting sad song it is a STUPID fan song about the STUPID world we now live in.

And now, instead of feeling sad when I hear this song, I am just angry.
