Or good news, bad news
Or good news, bad news
Good news is I work for one of the largest food companies in the US, and food is essential. Mostly, we are all continuing full steam ahead. Bad news is the facility I work at mostly produces for fast food restaurants and right now, retail grocery food is what is most in demand. so the hours at our facility are being cut back. The good news is no one is being sent home. Bad news is most of our hours are being cut in about half. But the really good news is that as long as we work all our scheduled hours each week, we will get paid for 36 hours. I will likely have to work about 25 or so hours a week.
Even if they cut us way back, it is unlikely I will get laid off, because I am mostly a one woman show at work. In fact, usually when I miss work, most of what I do is left she undone for me to catch up when I return.
I know things are really bad because the other day I told Helen that if the virus is in the rear view mirror by August, and the economy has mostly recovered, Trump will likely be re-elected. She said she hoped it was over before then even if that was the cost.
