Too hot!!!

Mama deer eating wild cherries off the ground in the same place as yesterday.  This was about 11 am today.  She is the only one we saw today.  Yesterday, George saw Clayton's mama deer and spotted fawn crossing the road right by Clayton's house.

June 28

And  112 degrees in the shade.

So, is that why the deer were out in the road eating at 2 pm, the hottest part of the day?  George took these pictures just before I got home.  The tree trimmers are done and left around 11 this morning.  George thought maybe the deer were eating wild cherries off the ground where they had cut down a cherry tree.  Anyway, it is really unusual for them to be out in sight at 2 in the afternoon, let alone out in the roadway eating.

Helen's computer is in Mesquite Texas and they say it should be delivered by Monday, July 2.

I have decided we are not going to have anymore goats this year.  I guess the brown goats are just fat.

The supreme court upheld the health care law.  I guess those that were against it can move to Mexico.  They have pay as you go or no care down there and they don't have to worry about illegals sneaking across the border.

HELEN

I am sending your computer tomorrow, by UPS.  I am using Melissa's name and address but I am putting YOUR cell phone number on it.

IF that is not right, call me.

My work direct line is 438-7135.  I will probably take it up town around 8:30 or 9.

And, I changed the password to the computer but forgot what I changed it to.  That won't be a problem, will it?

The tree trimmers have been here since last Wednesday trimming where the new electric line is going to run.  I took this today down in the road where Daddy had his garden pointing the camera back this way towards my house.  The left side is Dan's land that he bought from Daddy, the right side is just above where Daddy's garden started.  I guess this is Betty's land on the right, except you can't see anything except the road on that side.

This is our side of the road taken at just about where the road starts going down the hill towards Marrs.  That is my house in the background.  George is really happy as they are cutting lots of trees and he is getting wood chips and lard tree trunks to cut into wood and sell.  They load it on the trailer behind the blue truck and then even drive it up here for him.  He unloads it with the tractor.  And we probably have enough wood chips to last years.

This is the repaired water line.  The water department used black plastic when they laid the line
years ago.  George had to use metal for the splice to get it to hold and not leak.  No leaks now.

June 25

This day in history.  A day to remember, June 25, three years ago.  If you google this date, you will find mostly information concerning someone named Michael who was not an archangel.  But, for me, today marks 3 years since we took Robert for an assessment and started getting help for him.

This morning when I got up, Robert was here and this was on my kitchen counter.

His mother picked him and his sister up this morning, but they will be back for a visit soon.

Around 4 pm this turkey hen was down at the pond.  It hit 109 by my thermometer here today.  I think officially they said 100. You would think this was Arizona.
