The Fifth Sister, Our Brightest Morning Star
Fifty years ago today,
God smiled on the seven of us.
And gave us a little sister,
Full of love and trust.
She filled our hearts with sunshine,
We know how fortunate we are.
She was our Greatest Blessing,
And Our Brightest Morning Star.
He allowed us to keep her
Just Twenty-Seven years.
Then he called her back to be with him,
We had only memories and tears.
The dates she lived and died,
And the name all her own,
“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.”
Marks her destiny in stone.
We think of her with tears in our hearts,
But hear the Angles sing afar,
“She is our Greatest Blessing,
And Our Brightest Morning Star.”
