Electric line is fixed.
This is my phone pic of the line that was down. You can't see if very clearly because it is grey just like everything else in the pic. Below I have drawn a highlight by the down line. The other line is the guy-wire for the pole.
And here is the other end and highlighted below. Again there is a guy-wire.
Several people including one of my living closest relativies said 'I think it is a phone line.' It is not a phone line. There are 2 wires on every electric pole from my house all the way to Timbucktoo. Look out your window. There is one line running from the pole closest to your house to somewhere on or near your house. All the other electric poles will have two lines. I do not understand how anyone would not know this.
One thing I know a lot of people do not know is there are no telephone lines in rural Carroll County. They were replaced by underground lines about 20 years ago. Over time, all the telephone lines were removed as they are definately a safety hazard. When there was a telephone line, it did not do double duty as a telephone/electric line. It was a third line decated to phone only.
What is the difference between a power line and a phone line?
On poles with both types of lines, electric wires are
typically higher off the ground. They are attached to the pole with insulators
that prevent electricity from burning the pole. Cable and phone lines are lower
on the pole and usually attach directly without insulators.
