Won state in... Soccer! And, the girls took second place. For the whole state. Soccer!
The coach is a my friend's brother. She brought in the newspaper picture of the team so I could laminate it for her brother. I stole two pictures from the school website and put them together for this picture for her. There were picture of the girls team also, but they were all crying so I am not posting it here.
Some of my time at work is spent doing things like this. My work is interesting, to me, but it is not very intense. On a normal day, if I want to, I can complete everything in about 3 hours. That leaves time to kill.
Today, for over an hour, I worked on getting Excel to convert numbers to words. 1, 2, 3 to one, two, three. I have a file that has this one thru forty. I tried to make Excel do this when I first built the file, but decided it would be easier to just type one thru forty. Today, I need one thru 300. At first I was going to just do regular numbers, but I did not like the result. After about an hour, I got Excel to convert numbers to words with visual basic code I found on the web. I often use google to help with my Excel questions. It usually only takes a few minutes to find the answer. But, this time, the code that kept coming up converted 1 to dollars as in one dollar and no cents. Eventually I did find code to do what I wanted.
Between working on numbers to words, combining pictures and working on an unexpected email request, I left a stack of paperwork that I will need to go thru tomorrow. But, I got the important things done, like the above picture. Real work can wait.

Well, numbers to words sounds very complicated! That’s wonderful for the soccer team. Russellville boys got second.
