I did put Vaseline on the chickens legs in addition to the 7 dust. She is still limping, but the legs and feet actually look a little better now. The rooster had the same problem a few months ago, but he got all better. I can see some of this on his legs also, but he does not limp. I may treat both the hen and the him tonight.
The chickens actually look very pretty and healthy. Helen needs to quit worrying about them.
And, the bread I made was really good. I will post the recipe later this weekend or sometime. If I put recipes here, I can always find them.
I am looking forward to a weekend off, but I think it is supposed to get cold again tonight. It was 60 degrees here today.

well quit posting pix of them so I can forget them,,,
My mom's theory was that the leg problem was caused by some sort of mites or bugs, and the Vaseline smothered them. That's why I think the used motor oil would work just the same.
I am just thankful I do not have this in my flock. I am getting 4 to 7 eggs a day so spring is near. All winter I would just get an egg or at most 2 eggs a day.
I made your 30 min. rolls and they lasted much longer. Probably would be still in the pan 30 days from now...if you get the hint. They were awful. Tell everyone else to beware. Helen, they were not nearly as good as the cake with no leavening!
