Walk at dawn

Sister Helen and I are going to other sister's today, so I walked my mile at dawn. Hope I live to walk another day. Helen is driving.

One more day of work this week.

It has not been nearly as hot this week. Mostly in the mid 80's.  One more week of work and then vacation time. I am excited.

Fall is coming

Sassafras leaves are turning.

We got probably more than 1/4 inch and now it is much cooler. No watering the tomatoes today.

Cemetery Walk

 

I walked up to the cemetery this morning on my walk.  I don't think I had been up there since early spring.  The people that own the land along Dry Creek to the north of the cemetery have built a new large pond.  You can just see it in the distance here.

It has been a lovely day. Everyone except me went ot Enon to fish today.  They came home empty handed, so I cooked porkchops. 

Helen bought material and is making more baby quilts. I have just been lazy all day.

Day of leisure

I took a vacation day today and Tuesday to give myself a 5 day weekend.  

Today was a lazy day

 I walked to the blue gate, 3 miles round trip, but not at 6am like my usual weekend walk.  I waited till 8:30 and it was still really nice and cool. I think we are through the really hot day. Highs are supposed to be I. The mid 80's this week.
