Chickens

These are the hairy legged chickens sister Patsy gave to Clayton.

Walking the red dirt road

While I was so sick in July and August I lost 20 to 25 pounds mostly because nothing tasted good. Now, that has changed and everything with fat and sugar tastes great. In an effort to keep from gaining back the 20 pounds and to try to stay active, since my job has me sitting most of the day, I am walking down the red dirt road each day. I usually go about 2:30 or 3 pm, but today I went at 8:30 this morning. I walk to here.

This is 1 mile from m mailbox, so I am walking 2 miles a day. I have tired this before and after a few days I get lazy and stop walking, but this time I am determined to continue. I enjoy this walk. I can usually walk the 2 miles in 43 to 45 minutes, but today the camera slowed me down and it took 50 minutes. These are some of the things I saw.

Rocks piled on peoples graves.

What I have been up to

I like to go to garage sales, but somehow I accumalte a lot of junk when I make a habit of it so I have not been doing this so much. Today, though, I stopped at a few. At one I found a fax, phone, copy machine for $5. Junior has been wanting a fax machine to fax in his time sheets to save gas and time. He kept asking me about buying one, but I really do not know much about fax machines. They said this one worked, and I thougt it would be worth a $5 gamble. It did work. I sent a fax to my work and they got it. It has a nice protable phone, a answering maching, caller ID, and is a copy machine also. A new one much like this one is $100. I think I will sell it to Junior for $50. That sounds like a bargain.
