Great day in my neighborhood. ..

Yesterday and today have been beautiful. I walked my 10,000 plus yesterday, but I'm way short today. I need to do my mile after the kids get home. 

Today we are have spaghetti and meatballs. I keep a big bag of frozen meatballs and canned sauce for easy dinners. They love spaghetti. I love easy.

Took my Silverado in to have the brakes fixed. Get it back tomorrow just in time for the ice.

But I my living in the moment of today's sunshine.

Girls got game

Green Forest Jr girls are undefeated with only one game to go on the regular season. last night's game was a nail biter, 42 to 41. Opposition had the ball out of bounds under their own goal with 1.1 seconds to go. We won with 2 starters fouled out in the last 2 minutes. Those girls are good.

We are bound for more really cold weather at the end of the week. I am so ready for spring.

Puzzles

I like working at solving puzzles. Sister Betty and I think that is why we like looking for dead people (genealogy), using clues to solve puzzles. I used to do the sudoku puzzle in the little rock news paper, but it is no longer on paper most places. I tried it online, but that soon turns into a rabbit hole, some what like some of our dead people searches.

I kept seeing articles about a word game, wordle, but I am a terrible speller so had not tried it.  Today I gave it a try. Guess the 5 letter word in 6 guesses. It is just one same puzzle a day, so I only post here because no one reads my blog except me. My 3 tries are deceiving, as I entered 2 misspelled non words that it did not count. Sister Betty would like this game, and be better at it as she can spell deceiving without Google's help.

I am sooooo tried of the cold. If I were an animal, I would be a bear so I could sleep all winter.

I got a new boss yesterday. Not really new as Kathy was second in 'command' and has now moved to first. I am pleased as we get along well. She was apprehensive about stepping up, but seemed happy with her choice after the fact. When she was considering if she wanted the job I told her I knew who we would get if she did not take the job. A pig in a poke. Kathy is a known. A better choice even for Kathy.

1000 pictures is a lot

Since last Wednesday, Jan 18, the critter cams have taken over 1000 images.  

On Jan 20 when it was so cold, Helen wanted to use the tractor to take food to the deer.  I did not think she needed to do that so I told her it was too cold to start the tractor.  She then walked up the hill carrying a bucket of feed.  I wished I had let her use the tractor when she told me this, but it was a little late.

The critters found the food.

Helen took feed up the hill yesterday, Jan 22. This time she used the tractor.

In short order, the critters showed back up.

Today, I stopped by Sister Helen's dressed like this on my way to get the cards from the critter cams.  Sister asked if I was on my way to Church.  Dressed like this?

Too cold

To go to work, so I am staying in and staying warm today. Tonya went in but texted me dirt roads were fine but pavement was icy. So, I am staying put.
