This is a link to our library
http://www.carrollmadisonlibraries.org/
and this post is for me. I sometimes like to go to our library site at work, but when I search for it on google and then click on the link, the page will not load. I can go the the library 2 go link I posted last week, so I am hoping I can click on the above link and find my way to our library website. I have no idea why it will not load from the google search page.
I now have two ebooks to read, Chinaberry Sidewalks by Rodney Crowell and The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. I think I may have tried to read the Sinclair book before and did not find it interesting, but we will see.
I searched for Betty's Elizabeth and Hazel book but they did not have it.

today
Yes, the table is new. But, I bought it at a factory return outlet. The leaf does not come out like it is supposed to is what was wrong with. Was is the operative word. George did not go with me to pick it up. They loaded it and it got scratched on the way home because they did not know what they were doing. If picky, picky husband had been there to load it would have arrived home unscathed. I know I could take it back for a refund, but I can not get another like it so I am keeping it. It looks really pretty and fits the space nicely. I have worked on the scratch and it is not too noticeable now. I can set a plate over the scratch because it is right where a place setting goes.
We now have 2 new windows put in since last Friday, noon. Son came down yesterday and helped with one and help George take the air conditioner out. We have one window left to replace in the living room and one in the back bedroom. Almost done.
Sister and I are enjoying our ereading. We will probably have all the ebooks read in a few months and have to start buying books.

More new stuff
I got a new dinning room table today. It is oak and very pretty. The pedestal under it is made of metal, not plastic. I got only the table. The chairs were ones I already had. I tried the bench Erin gave me and it was just the right height for the table. When we get more of the kitchen done so I can move out the clutter, I will put the bench back behind the table, but for now there is too much junk back there. On one side is a window to put in the back bedroom and the white thing leaning against the window is the back panels for the kitchen bar/island.
George put the window in the living room yesterday. He is finishing up the wall tonight. He may put the window in the back bedroom tomorrow. We have two more to put in the living / dinning area and that one in the back bedroom. He needs to get them done before cold weather.
I stopped by the neighbors this morning on my way to town to ask if the old folks needed anything from town. When you get as old as he is, it is hard to get out and drive to town. I am a good neighbor.

What we have been up 2
I ordered a new computer hutch to put George's computer in. It came yesterday and he got it put together. It had doors so I can close it up and hide the mess. I really like it because it looks nice. George did a good job of putting it together. We quit last night with it only partly completed. The next step was putting on the doors. When I got home from work today he had one door on and was working on the other one. I asked if he had been working on it all day and he said he had. He likes it because the pull out shelf for the keyboard works right and is sturdy. The one on the old desk sometimes decided to fall off in the floor.
Our internet came back on around noon yesterday. It went off again today for awhile but it working again. I am glad it came back on. I was almost through with my last ebook. I have another one downloaded now, Chinaberry Sidewalks by Rodney Crowell. I am reading The Warmth of Other Suns but I find myself skipping a lot of it. The Author, that fills many pages with meaningless ramblings about her thoughts on life. I like the parts that tell the peoples stories, but a little of high ideas on life's true meaning goes a long way. I am really enjoying being able to find books to read whenever I want, but I think if we are ever going to get the kitchen done I am going to have to limit my weekend reading time. I just never thought I would like reading books on the computer, but it turns out it is akin to getting news through the computer instead of the TV. The news you want instead of whatever is on. A book I like when I want it without leaving my living room.

Net LossI I
We lost our internet yesterday afternoon and have been mostly in the dark since then. George thought maybe the little internet device had gone bad. I was thinking it was a signal problem, but today when I took the babies back to ES, I took the computer with me and it would not work at all all the way over and back. So, we took it to Harrison. When we passed Alpena we got service. The Verizon man said they lost a tower over our way. It will be back in service Tuesday. We are coming up on Alpena on our way back, so see you Tuesday.

Books, E and A to Z
I finished my first e-book yesterday. Then lost the free ebook I downloaded from Google. Found it tonight, but it vanished again. I tried downloading it again, and it opens, but then vanishes when I go to another book, so I just downloaded it as a html web file. We will see if that works. I have downloaded two more books to read this weekend. One is a book I remember Betty telling me about, The Warmth of Other Suns and one is S***t my dad says, which is humorous stories. That should last me through the weekend. I am really liking getting books without going to the library, however, it was harder to find something I wanted to read this time. After a week or two, I will probably be like Patsy and not find anything new to read. If Helen will tell me her numbers, I will see if her library has more books.
Speaking of Patsy, I went to the library thingy tonight about the library 2 go training. They are supposed to find out what is wrong with error 710 or 701 or whatever and get Patsy out of jail. I told them I googled and found the same thing they said about wait awhile posted several times as an answer to this error, but I did not find even one person that then said, 'Thanks, I waited a day and it is working now.'
I got the Dugard book from Betty in the mail yesterday, and read it last night. I really did not mean to stay up and read the entire thing, but I did. It was interesting, sad, but interesting.
Tomorrow, I am going to get a permanent because my hair looks like a dry haystack. Then, either tomorrow or Saturday I will go get the babies. I will give them the box of clothes and cars Helen sent and they will think it is all from me. I got Hannah some jewelry instead of toys.
Next week, I am going to get George back on the cabinets and get the bar fastened down. Then, the next weekend we can see about ordering countertops. We may shop around for countertops instead of ordering them right away, because I do not really have any one one thing in mind as to what I want.
Off to bed now. Have to get up one more day and go to work then two days off to play with the babies and read books. I can't get anything much done when they are here, not even reading books.
